Hospital Delivery Coordination

Delivering to a hospital is not the same as delivering to a warehouse. Hospitals have loading dock hours, security checkpoints, freight elevator schedules, and facility credentialing requirements. Some require vendor badges issued 48 hours in advance. Others restrict deliveries to specific dock doors during specific hours. Surgical suites and imaging departments have their own access protocols. AB&M coordinates all of this before the truck rolls. We confirm dock access, elevator availability, credentialing requirements, and the name of the receiving contact so our driver walks in knowing exactly where to go and who to hand the equipment to.

When a trauma case requires a specific implant that is not in the hospital's inventory, when an instrument set was sent to the wrong facility, or when a piece of imaging equipment fails and the replacement part is across the state — AB&M dispatches immediately. The driver goes directly from pickup to the hospital receiving dock with no stops, no terminals, and no other freight on the truck.
